Book a Room - Rules Booking Guidelines These group study rooms are located at the North Oshawa Library. Your student ID can only be used once per day to a maximum of 20 bookings per term. Bookings are available for a maximum of 3 hours per day. Bookings can be made up to a week in advance. New booking dates are added at 10 am. Bookings cannot be created five minutes before the start time. You cannot “join” or “cancel” a booking 30 minutes before the booking start time. If you cancel your reservation, you may re-use your student ID to create a booking for the same day. The booking system will not accept passwords longer than 15 characters and will reject any password with apostrophe character ( ' ) Room Use Guidelines Maximum capacity limits: LIB202A, 202B, and 202C: 4 people LIB303 – LIB310: 8 people Attempts to monopolize rooms will be considered a breach of the Building Use Guidelines. The library reserves the right to cancel bookings and/or suspend booking privileges. It is the intent of the system to limit the length of each group’s booking. Bookings may be forfeited for rooms occupied by fewer than the required number of persons to book the room. If a room is vacant 15 minutes after the booking start time, the group’s entire booking is void and the room is free for use until the next group’s reservation. Please do not reposition any equipment and do not unplug or remove any preexisting cords or cables. Students using the rooms are responsible for any damage that may occur. Campus ID is required for the loan of equipment from the Service Desk. Be mindful of noise levels as the space is not soundproof. The group study rooms are intended for “organized” groups. Individuals should not join a group/booking unless they have a prior affiliation with the original owner of the booking. If unaffiliated, these individuals can be asked to leave the room.
